Manchester United are believed to have started negotiations with Inter Milan over the potential transfer of midfielder Fredy Guarin to the club this summer.

The Red Devils have been deemed favourites to sign up Chile star Arturo Vidal from Juventus during the current transfer window, but in recent days the speculation has come to a standstill.

Latest reports reveal that manager Louis van Gaal wants to sign at least two more players before the transfer deadline and considers Guarin as one of his prime targets.

In addition to this, the Mancunian giants would have pay a minimum fee of around £18m to have any chance of luring Inter into selling off their star asset.
