The Colombian international has been constantly linked with a transfer away from the Ligue 1 giants this summer, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid speculated to be interested in his services.

However, with Real Madrid opting to sign Manchester United's Javier Hernandez on loan, Falcao is believed to have chosen City as his preferred destination.

A report from The Star claims that the Citizens will seal a deal for the former Atletico man, with the European champions keen on bringing back Alvaro Negredo to the Bernabeu on deadline day.
