Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Italian youngster Alessio Cerci. The 27-year-old arrives in Spain from Italian club Torino, signing a four year contract.
After two years playing for Torino, Cerci is now set for a new challenge in a different country and will join Atletico as the replacement for Diego Costa, who joined Chelsea earlier in the summer.
The versatile forward is comfortable playing on either flank or alone up front, and thus Diego Simeone, the Atleti coach, has spent a large sum of 17.5 million euros to bring the forward to La Liga.
