French defensive midfielder Benjamin Stambouli has wrapped up a deal to move to White Hart Lane. Having broken through at Montpellier, the club were reluctant to sell the 24-year-old, but a 5 million euro transfer has today been agreed.
Spurs scouts have been tracking Stambouli for some time and will be delighted to have snapped up the highly rated prospect.
Stambouli has played over 100 times for Montpellier and was an important part of the Ligue 1 club's first team last campaign.
The defensive midfielder has been brought in to replace Lewis Holtby, who joined Hamburg on loan today. Sandro is expected to move to QPR this evening.
