Manchester United right-back Guillermo Varela has joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan, according to a report.
The 21-year-old joined the Red Devils last summer under former boss David Moyes, but has since then failed to make an appearance at first-team level.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Uruguayan youngster will link up with new Castilla boss Zinedine Zidane for the season.
It is believed that Louis Van Gaal wants Varela to gain experience playing football at a competitive stage, before getting his chance at Old Trafford.
