Arsenal are confident of sealing a deal for midfielder William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Portuguese international had been constantly associated with a switch to the Gunners this summer, with manager Arsene Wenger believed to be keen on signing a holding midfielder.
However, things did not go as planned, as the Gunners failed to agree a transfer fee with the Lisbon giants for the 22-year-old.
Latest reports reveal that the North London outfit will renew their interest in Carvalho at the start of 2015, with the player keen on sealing a transfer to the Emirates.
