Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson will reportedly see Italian giants Juventus and Spanish club Real Madrid fighting over him in January.
The English international’s contract with the Reds will expire next summer, and so far there have been no talks over an extension as the 30-year-old looks to be inching towards an exit from the Anfield club.
The defender will be available on a free transfer next year, and the other clubs are hoping to scoop up a bargain and secure him on a pre-contractual agreement in the winter transfer window, but Italian daily Tuttosport claims the Whites and the Zebras are the front-runners in landing the former Chelsea player.
Johnson had joined Liverpool in 2009 from League Two club Portsmouth and has made 143 appearances for the Merseyside club since then, winning the League club with them in 2012. He also has 54 international caps to his name and was a part of the Three Lions’ squad that went to Brazil for the World Cup this year.
