Arsenal will reportedly make an offer for the services of Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama in January.

The former Celtic star had been linked with a transfer to the Gunners in the summer of 2013, until he opted to join Southampton.

According to The Mirror, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen on signing a holding midfielder in January, and considers the Kenyan international as one of his prime targets.

In addition to this, the North London giants could make a bid of around £15m for the midfield enforcer.

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League table.
