The Slovakian international had been heavily linked with a switch to the Reds over the summer, but a deal failed to materialize.

However, Fichajes.net claims that the Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on strengthening the club's midfield setup in January, and will make a bid of around £25m for the player's services.

Hamsik scored six goals for the Naples outfit last season.
