Manchester United have been in contact with the agent of Dani Alves regarding a move for the Barcelona full back.United are amongst the teams most interested in the Brazilian defender and have apparently prepared a bid of around 7 million euros for the full back.

The defender has just 8 months remaining on his deal at the Nou Camp and talks over a fresh deal in Spain have stalled. Man Utd coach Louis van Gaal is confident that signing Alves will resolve the club's defensive issues.
