Roma sensation plays down exit talks

16 October 2014 - 00:03

AS Roma midfield star Miralem Pjanic has played down speculation linking him with an exit from the club.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • The Bosnian international has been heavily associated with a move away from the Capital club with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid interested in his services.

However, the 24-year-old has now claimed that he is very happy plying his trade in the Serie A, and is unlikely to switch clubs in the near future.

"Football has changed and at times the clubs need money, it's not always the player who wants to leave," He said.

"I had the opportunity to leave, but I feel so good here that I ask myself why should I leave Roma? Why should I leave when I love this team, I love this city and I want to win here?"

Pjanic has been capped 55 times at international level.
