Manchester United are set to rivals the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea for the services of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, according to The Mail.
The German international is allowed to talk to interested clubs in January, as he is in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid.
Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti had earlier revealed that the club will not sell Khedira during the winter transfer window, and will allow his contract to run out at the end of the season.
According to The Mail, the Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is confident of sealing a a pre-contract for the talented midfielder ahead of their league rivals in the New Year.
