Arsenal are looking at the possibility of securing the services of Spartak Moscow midfielder Romulo in January, with striker Yaya Sanogo likely to be move the other way on loan.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 24-year-old joined the Russian giants from Brazilian outfit Vasco da Gama in the summer of 2012, and has since then made just 18 appearances due to a long-term injury lay-off.

A report from The Express claims that the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is keen on signing a holding midfielder in the upcoming transfer window, and considers the Brazilian as the perfect fit for his tactical setup.

The report adds that the Gunners could offer a fee in the region of £9.5m plus Sanogo on a temporary basis in order to secure the services of Romulo in January.

Romulo has been capped 8 times by the Brazilian national side.
