Ancelotti ignores Mourinho

12 December 2007 - 20:54

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is ignoring rumours that Jose Mourinho is being lined up to replace him as the boss of the Serie A giants. Milan have endured a disappointing season so far, and Ancelotti is under pressure.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "Talk from outside doesn’t give me any added pressure," the Italian tactician was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia on Wednesday.

Following Milan's poor results in the Serie this season, reports said the Rossoneri are lining up a replacement for Ancelotti.

Former Chelsea boss Mourinho is mooted as possible candidate after ruling himself out of England's managerial contenders.

"I read an article in a newspaper about Mourinho and how Milan have offered him my job," Ancelotti said.

"They may have done, but I haven’t been told by the club that there has been a formal offer. If Mourinho does want the job then it just gives me extra motivation."
