Liverpool could reportedly get their hands on one of their long term targets in the upcoming transfer window, according to The Express.
The Red boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be keen on finding an out-and-out striker who can score goals in the New Year, having seen summer signings in Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert fail to hit the ground running.
A report from The Express claims that the Merseysiders could finally seal a deal for Marseille striker Andre Ayew in January.
Adding to this, the 24-year-old would be available on a bargain fee of just £2m in the winter transfer window.
Ayew featured for the Ghanaian national side at the World Cup finals in Brazil over the summer.
