Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is mulling over an offer for Burnley striker Danny Ings, according to the Mirror.
The talented striker scored his fourth goal in five league appearances as the Clarets drew at home by 1-1 scoreline against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Mirror claims that Saints boss Koeman is keen on signing up an extra striker to ease the burden on Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane upfront. Adding to this, the South Coast club are considering a bid for the former Under-21 England international in the winter transfer window.
