Arsenal handed boost in signing Belgian midfielder
Arsenal have been handed a boost in signing Everton midfielder Amadou Onana at the end of the campaign, according to Sport.
The Toffees are currently in deep trouble after their failed takeover and this could force them to part ways with multiple players on the cheap.
Onana has been on the Gunners radar for some period of time and Sport claim that he could be purchased for a fee of around £43 million.
Barcelona are also admirers of the highly-rated Belgian, but they are not in a position to recruit him due to their Financial Fair Play issues.
Hence, the Gunners have the upper hand at the moment and they could engage in negotiations with the Toffees in the coming days.
The Belgian has also expressed his desire to pursue a bigger challenge and a transfer could be straightforward once a transfer fee is sorted.
The arrival of Onana at the Emirates Stadium could pave the way for the departure of Thomas Partey who has been largely injury-prone.
