West Ham have been told to place a bid of around £12m to sign up Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson on a permanent contract.
The England international joined the Hammers on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal over the summer, and has since then played a crucial role in the club's progress.
The Mail claims that Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen on signing up the talented right-back on a long-term basis. but the club are likely to find it hard to meet the £12m price quoted by the Gunners.
Jenkinson has made 20 appearances for the East London outfit this season.
