Chelsea are keeping a close eye on the status of defender Sergio Ramos. The Real Madrid star is apparently a target for the Blues' manager Jose Mourinho.

Ramos has been a hugely important player for the Bernabeu side and has apparently hinted that he would one day like a move to England.

The defender helped guide Real to Champions League success last season and also has enjoyed international success, twice winning the European Championship and once the World Cup.

Chelsea are desperate to find a long term replacement for captain John Terry and 28-year-old Ramos offers a decent option.
