West Bromwich Albion have decided to move for Man Utd midfielder Darren Fletcher after a deal to join West Ham fell through. The Scottish international is available on a season long loan.
The midfielder has slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford since the arrival of Louis van Gaal and must now search for regular football elsewhere.
A move to West Ham fell through just last week and Fletcher is said to still be seeking regular first team action and will now weigh up his options.
WBA's new manager Tony Pulis has made the acquisition of Fletcher his main priority in the January transfer window and is hoping that a deal will be agreed before tomorrow's transfer deadline.
