Arsenal will look to secure the services of Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund within the next 24 hours.
The German international had been linked with a switch to Bayern Munich, but the Bavarian giants have now cooled their interest in the play-maker.
Reports claim that the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of Reus, and could lure him to the Emirates before the closure of the winter transfer window.
It is also believed that a fee of around £20m could be sufficient to secure the services of the 25-year-old.
