Danny Ings could be heading to Liverpool this afternoon. Burnley will receive Rickie Lambert as part of a cash plus player swap deal.

It is understood that Brendan Rodgers will stop at nothing to secure Ings' coveted signing and has already been in contact with Burnley this morning. Ings has been in good form this season and Lambert has struggled for first team football. It is understood that Burnley could receive Lambert plus 5 million GBP as part of the agreement. Lambert is also being tracked by Hull City and Steve Bruce's side have already tabled their initial offer.
