Manchester United are reportedly planning a summer move for midfielder Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid.
The 20-year-old has been a regular at the Basque club this season, and his performances have attracted interest from top clubs in Europe.
According to The Sun, Louis van Gaal had sent scouts to watch the talented youngster in action during Atleti's Champions League encounter against Bayer Leverkusen last week.
The report adds that Van Gaal has been impressed by the positive response, and is ready to make a bid for the player's services during the summer transfer window.
Saul currently has a £18m release clause in his contract.
