Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld has admitted that he would be keen on playing alongside international teammate Jan Vertonghen at White Hart Lane next season.
The talented centre-back joined the Saints from Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan last summer, and has since the featured on a regular basis for the South Coast outfit.
Alderweireld has now insisted that he is enjoying his spell in the Premier League, and would be open to the prospect of teaming up with Vertonghen at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
"It would be very nice to play again with Jan," Alderweireld said.
"For now I only try to focus as much as possible on Southampton. I am very happy in the Premier League, which really suits me."
Alderweireld has notched up 20 appearances for the Saints this season.
