Real Madrid are reportedly considering a shock move for Chelsea's out-of-favour midfielder John Obi Mikel this summer.
The Nigerian international has struggled for game-time at Chelsea ever since the arrival of Nemanja Matic from Benfica in January 2014.
Having made just 12 appearances for the Blues this term, it had been speculated that Mikel could seek a fresh challenge away from the Premier League toppers.
According to Tuttomercato, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing a surprise swoop for the 28-year-old, with whom he worked during his spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League with 77 points.
