Juventus star Andre Pirlo is regarded as a top transfer target for Liverpool this summer.
The 35-year-old has a year left on his contract at the Turin giants, and the Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on acquiring the veteran midfielder's services on a short-term deal in the summer.
Tuttosport claims that Pirlo is open to a challenge away from Serie A at the end of the season.
It is added that Rodgers is keen on bringing the former Italy international to Anfield as the ideal replacement for outbound star Steven Gerrard.
Pirlo joined Juve from AC Milan in 2011.
