Liverpool are consider a shock swoop for Southampton defender Jose Fonte, The Mirror reports.
The Portugal international international has been a key-member in the Saints progress in the Premier League in recent seasons.
According to The Mirror, the 31-year-old could be the latest player to leave St Mary's for Anfield, having already seen the likes of Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert exit South Coast for the Reds last summer.
Fonte has made 42 appearances for the Saints this season.
