Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat will quit from his managerial role, even if he manages to keep the club in the Premier League.
The Dutchman joined the Black Cats in March as a replacement for Gus Poyet, and was promised a fee of around £500,000 if he is able to help the Wearside outfit beat the drop.
The Black Cats are currently two points above the drop zone, and have their future in their own hands.
Advocaat has now revealed that he will depart the Black Cats in the summer, whatever may be their status next season.
