Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is planning a summer bid to bring in Villareal's Gerard Moreno, in order to provide competition to Olivier Giroud upfront next season.
The talented striker has blossomed at the La Liga outfit this season, and has notched up 16 goals in all competitions.
According to The Mirror, the 23-year-old has been tracked by the Gunners scouts in recent weeks, given the player having a release clause of just £3m.
Villareal will look to offer a new deal to Moreno in the quest to erase his buy-out clause.
Moreno's current deal at El Submarino Amarillo expires in the summer of 2016.
