Aston Villa will look to sign up Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, should Christian Benteke depart the club in the summer.

Benteke is expected to leave Villa Park during the summer transfer window, with Liverpool deemed favourites to land his services.

Villa were interested in Wilson last winter, but were put off by the Cherries' asking price of £7m for the talented striker.

According to The Mirror, the Midlands outfit will come up with a firm offer for the 23-year-old, should Benteke leave the club this summer.

Wilson joined the Premier League newcomers from Coventry City in 2014.
