Marcelo Bielsa linked with vacant West Ham job

Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa is a surprise candidate for the vacant West Ham United role. The Argentine has been linked as a possible replacement for the outgoing Sam Allardyce.

  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Slaven Bilic is said to be West Ham's top target but the Croatian is not sure if a move to the Premier League is the right thing to do at this point of his career.

Marseille have already offered Bielsa a new contract but the manager has yet to agree a deal as his agent has been in contact with the Hammers regarding the vacant position.

The 59-year-old has a wealth of experience, having managed Argentina for six years, before moving to Chile to manage their national team; before a move to La Liga with Athletic Bilbao.
