Former England manager Steve McClaren is expected to take over the managerial reigns at Newcastle United in the next 24 hours, according to a report.
McClaren had rejected the job in May, as the Magpies were still lingering above the relegation places.
However, the Newcastle Chronicle now cites that the McClaren will take over as Magpies boss in a days' time.
It is added that he will first look to compile his backroom team, before seeking fresh recruits for the summer.
