Liverpool will come up with an increased offer for Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne this week.

  • The England international was in top form for the Saints last season, and this has attracted interest from Manchester United and Liverpool in recent weeks.

However, United have opted against a move for the talented full-back, leaving Liverpool as the only club in the chase for the player's services.

Reports reveal that the Reds will make an improved bid of around £15m, having had their initial £10m offer rejected by the Saints.

Liverpool have already acquired the signatures of Danny Ings, James Milner and Adam Bogdan.
