Newcastle United are considering bringing in Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard on loan for next season.
The 22-year-old plyed his trade on loan at Derby County in the second half of last season and scored two goals in 14 games.
According to The Telegraph, Magpies manager Steve McClaren, who was by then the Rams boss, was impressed by the striker's influence on the team's performance.
It is added that the Magpies are confident of sealing a temporary deal for the talented forward, with United boss Louis van Gaal keen on providing sufficient first-team experience to the youngster.
