Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini will seek to bring in Arsenal's Jack Wilshere after they failed with a second bid for Raheem Sterling.
Sterling has been constantly linked with a switch to the Citizens in recent weeks, and it is understood that the Reds have rebuffed a second bid of around £40m for the England international.
Reports cite that City will now cool their interest in the Jamaican-born winger, with Arsenal star Jack Wilshere being the next target for the summer.
Wilshere has earlier stated that he would not leave the Gunners, but City are likely to tempt the North London giants with a tempting offer.
