Phil Neville takes Valencia assistant role

Phil Neville has officially joined Valencia as an assistant manager. The former Man Utd man was a part of David Moyes' Old Trafford backroom staff team.

Neville has been given a unique opportunity to take over as number 2 at one of Spain's top clubs and today wrote on Twitter: "Morning - first day with my new team - New life new challenge can't wait to get started"

Neville has signed a three year contract with Valencia and will take part in the La Liga side's pre-season preparations.
