Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has told the club's hierarchy that he would like to sign both Nicolas Otamendi and Sergio Ramos during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils were strongly associated with a move for Valencia's Nicolas Otamendi in recent weeks, but the interest on the Argentine cooled down following reports that Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos was eager to make a switch to Old Trafford.

However, AS claims that Van Gaal has instructed Ed Woodward to look at the possibility of signing up both players this summer.
