Palermo, Lazio, Feyenoord, Wolfsburg and Marseille are all ready to make a move for young Brazilian striker Tulio de Melo. The hitman currently plies his trade on loan at Le Mans in France, but the French side are unable to meet the player's asking price.
de Melo earlier in the season expressed his joy at playing for Le Mans, and indicated he wished to stay until at least the summer: "I don’t want to leave in the winter. I want to continue the season at Le Mans. Besides, I think that it’s important that there aren’t any departures in January. We have to continue all together."
However, Marseille and Palermo could be ready to meet Atletico Mineiro's asking price.
Tulio's contract actually expires in 2008, and so the Brazilian club could be ready to sell at a cut price now.
10 goals in 17 games in Ligue 1 in France have made Tulio a very coveted young striker.
