Manchester United are expected to cool down their interest in midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, as they pursue to bring in Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The Red Devils are in crunch talks to sign up World Cup winner Schweinsteiger, having had a £20m rebuffed for Schneiderlin.
Multiple reports cite that United boss Louis van Gaal has decided to move in for the German international, with the Saints unlikely to lower their asking price for Schneiderlin.
Saints currently rate the 25-year-old at £27m.
