Having made just 14 appearances for the Premier League holders last season, there has been speculation that the talented defender could seek a return to his former club Atleti.
According to The Mirror, Luis has been granted his wish to rejoin the Basque outfit in the summer transfer window.
A fee has yet to be finalized between the clubs for the transfer.
