The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen on signing up a new central defender during the summer transfer window.

It had been reported earlier that the North London giants had made a £5m offer for Greek international Kostas Manolas.

According to The People, Roma have swiftly rejected the transfer sum, and insisted that the centre-back is not for sale at any price this summer.
