The France international was tipped to join Crystal Palace in the summer, as he was likely to struggle for first-team action at Chelsea following the arrival of loan signing Radamel Falcao.

However, The Sun now claims that the former Marseille star has snubbed a reunion with Alan Pardew at the Eagles to fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.

Remy scored nine goals in all competitions for the Blues last term.
