  • The Republic of Ireland international joined the Toffees from Wigan Athletic in 2013, and has since then been a constant setup in the first-team.

However, the former Latics star is considering his future, following a dismal spell for the Toffees in the Premier League last season.

According to The Mail, Martinez will meet up with McCarthy's agent to discuss the possibility of a contract extension for the midfielder.

Tottenham Hotspur have shown keen interest in signing up the talented enforcer in recent weeks.
