The Magpies have been quite busy in the transfer market having already brought in the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum and Aleksandar Mitrovic to their ranks.

According to Newcastle Chronicle, the Tyneside outfit are in talks to sign the former Lille man, who is hoping to leave Marseille for fresh pastures elsewhere this summer.

Thauvin has notched up 7 assists and 13 goals in 67 league appearances for Marseille till now.
