Numerous clubs have shown interest in the talented shot-stopper in recent weeks but Gazetta.it claims that Romero has had a verbal agreement to join Louis van Gaal's side this summer.

The arrival of Romero to Old Trafford could well lead to the departure of either Victor Valdes or David de Gea during the transfer window.
