Manchester United are understood to have rejected summer offers for England international Michael Carrick, according to reports.
Carrick has been a regular in the club's setup in recent seasons, but there has been speculation that the 33-year-old could be shown the Old Trafford exit door following the arrival of the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger this summer.
According to The People, United have rejected approaches from Inter Milan and Newcastle United for the midfield enforcer.
United begin their Premier League campaign with a home game against Tottenham Hotspur.
