German international Thomas Muller is a top target for the Red Devils this summer, and the club are ready to pay as much as £50m to land his signature.

The World Cup winner had recently laughed off speculation over a possible move to Old Trafford.

However, ESPN cites that Muller has been in contact with former teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger, who has had a fabulous welcome at the Mancunian giants.

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insisted over the past week that the Bavarian side would be out of their minds to offload their star asset at any price this summer.
