Ramos commits future to Real Madrid

Man Utd target signs new Real Madrid deal

17 August 2015 - 16:57

Spain international Sergio Ramos has agreed on a long-term deal at Real Madrid, thereby ending speculation over a proposed move to Manchester United.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The talented defender had been tipped to join the Red Devils earlier this summer, in a deal which would have seen goalkeeper David de Gea move the other way.

However, the deal never materialised, with Los Blancos unwilling to lose their star asset in the transfer window.

According to The Star, the World Cup winner has decided to stay put at the Bernabeu by putting pen-to-paper on a new five-year contract.

Ramos was awarded with the captain's armband following the departure of Iker Casillas to Porto last month.
