  • The Gunners are thought to have rejected two bids from Palermo for Costa Rican winger Joel Campbell.

Wenger has now revealed in a press conference that he is eager to have the 23-year-old at the Emirates for the ongoing campaign.

"At the moment he is here and personally I would like to keep him. I will have to sit down with Joel because I rate him highly as a player and personally if he stays here I am very happy." he told the club's official website.

Campbell spent the second half of last season on loan at Villareal.
