Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has hinted that the club could get a deal in for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale in the transfer window.

The Welsh international was constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford earlier this summer, until his agent rubbished the speculation.

However, The Mail cites that the Dutchman is confident of luring the former Spurs man to the club before the transfer deadline.

Bale joined the La Liga giants from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, and has since then been a regular in the starting line-up.
